1976 Congressional Testimony Acknowledges Microwave Radiation Hazards
1 August 2026 | Congressional testimony shown below confirming Federal awareness regarding the harms and “cover-up” of microwave radiation exposure. The following August 2, 1976 Congressional discussion was focused on the health damage to State Department employees working in Moscow. Notably, the fact is presented that the Russian standard is 1,000 times more protective than the U.S. guideline.
“MICROWAVE RADIATION, TO BORROW A PHRASE, IS NOT HEALTHY FOR CHILDREN AND OTHER LIVING THINGS, INCLUDING STATE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEES IN MOSCOW”
“This is a health issue, not a political one. Many feel that too much is being made of a few microwaves. However, while facts are few as to the extent of a health risk which microwaves pose, there is one fact we do know: No amount of radiation is good. I would urge Americans to personalize this situation, and thereby empathize: Would anyone like to work in an office which faces daily radiation, especially if the employer were negligent in not informing the employee of the radiation threat? I think not. In this case, the U.S. Government is the negligent employer, and we must resume our responsibility to our State Department workers. We must remove this threat once and for all.”

“…experts have conceded that there is no established threshold below which radiation exposure is not harmful.”

“Subjects exposed to microwave radiation exhibited a variety of neurasthenic disorders against a background of angiodystonia (abnormal changes in toxicity of the blood vessels). The most common subjective complaints were headache, fatigue, perspiring, dizziness, menstrual disorders, irritability, agitation, tension, drowsiness, sleeplessness, depression, anxiety, forgetfulness, and lack of concentration.” p.8 Link To Document

Actual biological effects (that are not secondary to heating) were considered established in the East (Russia, Eastern Europe) by the late 1930’s and established in the West by the late 1950’s.
