China approves wireless NEO brain chip
10 June 2026 | Zero5G.com | Merging humans and AI | Researchers at Tsinghua University and a startup based in Shanghai, Neuracle Technology, received regulatory approval from China’s National Medical Products Administration to prepare for mass production of their brainchip, NEO.
Though the marketing campaign is framed around rehabilitation, critics point out the potential for abuse, hacking of private data, and the alarming threat to a our most personal property – our thoughts. Such capability is provided via wireless irradiating infrastructures — satellites, telecommunications networks, and interoperable devices.
According to the article below, “The initial rollout of NEO is strictly focused on rehabilitation. The implant reads aggregate brainwaves and transmits them wirelessly to a nearby processing hub, which translates those thoughts into digital commands.” [1][2]

“But while the immediate goal is helping the more than 3 billion people worldwide who suffer from neurological and movement disorders, the long-term vision of tech leaders is far more radical. Silicon Valley and the Chinese State alike view these medical implants as a stepping stone toward a cyborg future.”

“As the brain-computer race accelerates, humanity is heading toward a fragile crossroads — harnessing a technology that could restore movement to the paralyzed, while grappling with the unsettling risk that our own thoughts could become the most valuable data on the market.”

Unlike smartphones that are continuously tracking your location and collecting your personal data, brain chips are purposed to invade your mind and swipe your private thoughts.
If It’s Wireless, It’s Hackable
Cybersecurity expert Dr. David Tuffley, of Griffith University states, “[However, the technology will] theoretically allow hackers to access sensitive neural data, such as patients’ thoughts and memories…
Hacking may also enable them to impair a patient’s cognitive functions such as the ability to concentrate, or even manipulate motor signals to affect how well they move…That’s a scary prospect, especially if these devices become more common.” [1][2]
For years, scientists and researchers have been raising awareness on the looming threat of a technocratic global wireless prison to freedom and to our natural world.
The Foundation for Bioethics in Technology has long been advocating for ethical policies that protect cognitive liberty, privacy, data, health, public safety, the environment, and national security. [3]
